Patna Police Makes Arrest in Purnia Murder Case, Recovers Vehicle
In a significant development, Patna Police on Thursday arrested a man and successfully recovered the motorcycle that was allegedly used in the brutal murder of 28-year-old Suraj Bihari. The victim, who was the son of corn merchant Jawahar Yadav, was shot dead on January 27 near Newalal Chowk, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Maranga police station area in Purnia district.

The murder is reported to have stemmed from a dispute over a photo that was posted on the social media platform Instagram. This altercation escalated tragically, leading to the fatal shooting of Suraj Bihari. In addition to the primary suspect, Police have also arrested the bike owner, Vishal Kumar, as part of their ongoing investigation into the case.
According to an official statement released by the Purnia Police, a specialized team led by Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Mohammad Ali Sabri played a crucial role in the operation. This team, which included members from the Special Operations Group (SOG) and the Chita teams of the Bihar Special Task Force (STF), conducted a thorough search and managed to recover both the weapon and the motorcycle used in the crime.
