Vehicle Stopped and Cash Discovered

The police team stopped a scooter bearing a Gujarat registration number during their standard inspection drive. The vehicle was being ridden by a young man accompanied by a woman. Upon searching a suitcase they were carrying, authorities discovered the large sum of cash, leading to immediate action.

Occupants Detained and Income Tax Department Notified

Both individuals were promptly detained by the police for further questioning. The matter was reported without delay to the Income Tax department, which has since issued notices and initiated necessary proceedings in accordance with financial regulations.

SDPO (Law and Order)-II Divyajyoti Jaiswal confirmed the details of the operation, stating that the duo claimed the money was brought to Patna for office and household purposes. She emphasized that proper legal protocols are being followed in this case.
