Police Collusion Uncovered in Alwar's Deadly Firecracker Factory Blast

In a shocking development from Rajasthan's Alwar district, collusion among police personnel has been exposed in the illegal manufacturing of firecrackers that led to the deaths of seven laborers in a devastating factory blast. The incident occurred in Khushkheda, located within the Khairthal-Tijara district, revealing systemic corruption within law enforcement agencies.

Police Personnel Implicated and Reassigned

Responding to mounting evidence, Khairthal-Tijara Superintendent of Police Manish Chaudhary announced on Wednesday the dissolution of the district special team (DST) of Bhiwadi police. Five police officers have been directly implicated in the case, including DST in-charge Mukesh Verma who has been reassigned to the police line along with four other policemen as investigations into their conduct intensify.

Sanjay Meena has been appointed as the new Tapukada police station house officer (SHO), replacing Verma in a significant administrative shakeup. The legal proceedings advanced simultaneously as Khushkheda police presented the two primary accused, Hemant Sharma and Abhinandan Tiwari, before the Tijara court on Wednesday. The court remanded both individuals to four days of police custody for further interrogation.

Deadly Blast and Illegal Operations

The catastrophic incident unfolded on February 16 when a massive fire erupted in the Khushkheda industrial area, claiming the lives of seven workers and severely injuring four others. The injured victims have since been referred to AIIMS, Delhi for specialized medical treatment. Investigations revealed that the factory had been operating without proper authorization, masquerading as a garment production unit while secretly manufacturing firecrackers in clear violation of safety regulations.

During the ongoing investigation, the name of Hemant Kumar Sachdeva has emerged as a partner of the factory owner, adding another layer to the complex web of individuals involved in the illegal enterprise.

Deep-Rooted Police Collusion Exposed

Investigators are particularly scrutinizing the conduct of the DST team, including head constable Yogesh Sharma, who is the brother of factory operator Hemant Sharma. This familial connection raises serious questions about potential conflicts of interest and collusion in the illegal operations.

Adding to concerns about police involvement, it has been revealed that Mukesh Verma and Yogesh Sharma resided together in a flat owned by the factory owner's wife. This living arrangement has raised serious questions about their conduct and potential complicity in the illegal firecracker manufacturing business that ultimately led to multiple fatalities.

Comprehensive Investigation Initiated

Jaipur Range Inspector General Raghavendra Suhas has initiated decisive action, commissioning a comprehensive investigation at his level. As a result, the entire Bhiwadi DST team, including constables Dinesh Kumar and Jagpal, has been subjected to intense scrutiny. The factory associated with the tragedy had been operating illegally, initially registered as a garment factory or general unit but instead manufacturing explosives in clear violation of the law.

In a related development, additional illegal firecracker manufacturing operations were discovered in proximity to the original blast site on Tuesday. A forensic team from the home department sealed the factory following thorough inspections, revealing significant quantities of firecracker materials and machinery that were likely connected to the same criminal network operating in the region.

The case continues to develop as authorities work to unravel the full extent of police collusion and illegal operations that resulted in this tragic loss of life in Alwar district.
