The Rajkot Special Operations Group (SOG) has taken significant action by detaining four women from Bangladesh on Tuesday. The individuals, all aged between 29 and 30 years, were apprehended for allegedly residing in India without possessing valid legal documents. The detention occurred in the Aji Dam police station area after the SOG received precise and actionable information regarding the presence of these women. SOG police inspector Sanjaysinh Jadeja provided detailed insights into the case. He revealed that the women had embarked on a journey from Bangladesh to Kolkata initially. From there, they proceeded to Surat before finally arriving in Rajkot approximately four days prior to their detention. Their primary motive for this travel was reportedly to seek employment opportunities in India.

During the subsequent interrogation process, the women reportedly confessed to entering India from Bangladesh around mid-2025. Their mode of travel involved using trains to reach Surat, where they initially found work. After spending some time there, they decided to relocate to Rajkot in pursuit of better job prospects or different employment avenues.
Key evidence was recovered from their possession, including Bangladeshi birth certificates and national identity cards. These documents have been seized by the authorities as part of the investigation to verify their identities and immigration status.

In response to this development, the Rajkot SOG has formally informed the Special Branch and other concerned agencies about the detention.
