Initial medical reports from the devastating Red Fort car blast that occurred on November 10 have revealed the horrific nature of injuries sustained by victims, with lacerated wounds, severe burns and crush injuries over the scalp being among the most common trauma patterns.
According to police sources who spoke exclusively about the findings, ten people lost their lives in the explosion that ripped through a vehicle near the historic monument. Details of Injuries and Casualty Figures
The medical documentation confirms that victims suffered lacerated wounds and cuts, partial and complete burns, as well as crush injuries specifically targeting the scalp area. A senior police officer involved in the investigation provided crucial details about the casualty count.
"We have identified 10 people who have died. While three body parts are yet to be identified, 30 people have sustained injuries in the blast… one of them is on ventilator support," the officer revealed. The sheer force of the explosion was such that people were thrown into the air, resulting in fatal damage to their scalp and back regions.
Medical professionals noted that many victims exhibited contusions on their limbs, indicating significant damage to blood vessels caused by direct impact. Additionally, lateral collateral region wounds were observed on lower backs and limbs of several affected individuals.

In a positive development, hospital authorities confirmed that five persons who had sustained minor burns and hearing issues in the Red Fort blast were discharged from Lok Nayak Hospital on Saturday, November 15.
