DG&IGP MA Saleem Stresses Integrity and Tech in Ballari Police Review
Director General and Inspector General of Police (DG&IGP) MA Saleem chaired a comprehensive review meeting with senior police officers at the Ballari District police office on Tuesday. The session, attended by key officials including IGP Harsha, SP Suman D. Pennekar, and other senior personnel, focused on enhancing police professionalism and public trust.
Emphasis on Corruption-Free and Impartial Service
During the meeting, Saleem called upon police personnel to maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor with the public while ensuring corruption-free and impartial service. He underscored the critical importance of professionalism and integrity in policing, urging officers to discharge their duties with fairness and accountability. This approach, he noted, is essential for reinforcing public confidence in the police system and fostering stronger community relations.
Guidance for Junior Officers and Technological Integration
Saleem advised senior officials to actively guide newly inducted junior officers by sharing their experience and expertise. This mentorship, he emphasized, will help junior personnel enhance their professional skills and adapt more effectively to their roles. Additionally, highlighting the growing role of technology in modern policing, Saleem pointed out that advanced tools and systems are crucial for crime prevention and investigation. He instructed all personnel to undergo proper training in the latest technologies integrated into the police system and to use them effectively in maintaining law and order.
Post-Meeting Engagements and Inspections
Following the review meeting, the DG&IGP visited the DAR police residential quarters complex, where he interacted with officers and their families, listening attentively to their grievances. He later inspected the Brucepet police station in the city to assess operational conditions and address any on-ground issues. The visits were attended by Ballari Range IGP Harsha, SP Suman D. Pennekar, ASP S. Naveen Kumar, along with DSPs and other police officials, ensuring a thorough follow-up on the discussions held during the meeting.
