Two Sisters Arrested for Violent Rampage at Vaishali Police Station
In a shocking incident in Bihar's Vaishali district, two sisters were arrested on Wednesday for unleashing chaos at the local police station, physically assaulting police personnel, and causing significant damage to government property. The dramatic confrontation has raised serious concerns about public safety and law enforcement challenges in the region.
Violent Assault on Police Officers
The trouble began when one of the sisters, a resident of Brahmapura, was rescued from a hotel on Tuesday in connection with a prostitution case. On Wednesday morning, her sibling arrived at the Vaishali police station, and together, the two women initiated a violent disturbance. According to police reports, they targeted woman police sub-inspector Neetu Kumari and constable Amarjeet Kumar in a brutal attack.
During the assault, Neetu Kumari was grabbed by her hair, thrown to the ground, and her uniform was torn apart, leaving her with injuries that required medical attention. She was subsequently admitted to a private hospital for treatment. The sisters showed no restraint, escalating their aggression despite attempts by officers to calm the situation.
Extensive Property Damage and Disruption
The sisters' rampage extended beyond physical violence to widespread vandalism within the police station premises. For hours, they wreaked havoc, tearing important documents, damaging critical equipment such as wireless sets and computers, and even disrupting electrical wiring. Flower pots were shattered, and the electricity system was tampered with, causing further operational hurdles for the police force.
Vaishali Station House Officer (SHO) Rajkumar highlighted the severity of the incident, stating, "Both women not only caused heavy damage to government property but also created serious obstruction in government work by attacking police personnel. Despite considerable persuasion by police personnel, both sisters did not calm down, after which police took them into custody."
Legal Actions and Charges Filed
Following the arrest, an FIR (First Information Report) has been registered against the sisters on multiple charges, including:
- Obstructing government work
- Assault on public servants
- Damage to government property
Police authorities have confirmed that legal proceedings are underway, and the sisters will face the full consequences of their actions. This incident underscores the risks faced by law enforcement officers and the importance of maintaining order in public institutions.
The case has drawn attention to the broader issues of public conduct and respect for authority, with local officials emphasizing zero tolerance for such violent behavior. As the investigation continues, the community awaits further developments in this troubling episode at the Vaishali police station.
