ASI Ishwar Singh of the accident police station (east) confirmed that two individuals sustained injuries in the crash. "Two people sustained injuries in the accident. Their condition is stable," Singh stated, providing reassurance about the victims' medical status.

Police identified the driver as Rajesh Khandelwal, a resident of Bapu Nagar who owns the vehicle involved in the accident. Authorities took Khandelwal into custody immediately following the incident and sent him for a medical examination amid strong suspicions that he was driving under the influence of alcohol.
