"Upon checking her mobile phone, I noticed a call from a boy," the father explained. "I immediately went to his house with other villagers, apprehended him, and brought him back. Under pressure, he disclosed information about my daughter's whereabouts."
He further described how, around 5 PM, they reached the specified location and found her body hanging from a bamboo bush. "There were deep marks on her neck and injuries on her body," he alleged. By the time they returned to the village, the accused and his family had fled, prompting a swift police response that led to the boy's detention.

Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Jitendra Pandey provided insights into the ongoing investigation. "Preliminary findings and statements from the girl's family indicate that both the victim and the accused were students at the same school and frequently communicated over the phone," he stated. SDPO Pandey elaborated on the forensic aspects, noting, "As per our initial investigation, she was strangled to death and subsequently hanged to simulate a suicide. All angles of the case are being thoroughly examined. The accused has been detained, and the body was handed over to the family after a post-mortem examination. Further inquiries are in progress."
