According to police, a group of children were playing cricket on a street in Janer village. The toddler was standing or walking near the batsman when the batsman, attempting to hit a shot, swung the bat with force and accidentally struck the little boy directly in the stomach.

The impact was severe. The child collapsed immediately and was rushed to a nearby hospital by family members and onlookers. However, he could not survive the internal injuries and was declared dead upon arrival.

Police are looking into the matter, but initial details point to the incident being an unintended accident, said Sunita Rani, SHO of Kot Ishe Khan police station. No arrests have been made as of now.
