Tonk Police Conduct Major Raid on Illegal Gambling Operation in Bhilwara
In a significant crackdown on illegal activities, the Kotwali police force executed a targeted raid on a clandestine gambling den located in the Kalipaltan area of Bhilwara, within Tonk district, on Monday. The operation resulted in the seizure of substantial evidence and the arrest of ten individuals allegedly involved in the illicit operation.
Substantial Seizures and Arrests Made During Police Action
Law enforcement officials confiscated a total of Rs 35,085 in cash from the premises, providing immediate proof of financial transactions linked to the gambling activities. Additionally, police recovered 16 detailed diaries that contained meticulous accounts of gambling operations, with the recorded sums amounting to an astonishing Rs 6,12,535. The raid also led to the seizure of five mobile phones, which are believed to have been used for communication and coordination related to the illegal den.
Coordinated Effort by District Special Team and Kotwali Police
The successful operation was a joint endeavor between the District Special Team (DST) and the Kotwali police team, highlighting a coordinated approach to combating crime in the region. Tonk Superintendent of Police (SP) Rajesh Kumar Meena emphasized the seriousness of the crackdown, stating that all police officers across the district have been explicitly directed to take stringent and uncompromising action against illegal gambling activities within Tonk district.
"We are committed to eradicating such unlawful practices that undermine social order and public safety," SP Meena remarked, underscoring the police department's dedication to maintaining law and order.
