During the inspection, police discovered Mutthtamilselvan, a 39-year-old resident of the same area, in possession of a significant quantity of banned tobacco products. He was immediately taken into custody for violating tobacco control regulations.
Second Arrest on Karur Bypass Road
In a parallel operation, the Fort police unit arrested A Zakir Hussain, aged 33 and a resident of Ukkadai in Ariyamangalam. Hussain was apprehended on charges of selling tobacco products near the busy Karur Bypass Road, a major thoroughfare in Trichy.
