Two 21-year-olds die in Vakkom bike accident

A tragic road accident in the Vakkom area near Kadakkavoor has cut short the lives of two young men. The fatal collision occurred on Sunday evening, sending shockwaves through the local community.

Details of the Fatal Collision

The incident took place at Angavila, Vakkom, around 4:30 PM on Sunday. According to preliminary reports, a motorcycle carrying three individuals from Nilaykkamukku collided head-on with another bike coming from the opposite direction. The rider of the second motorcycle was traveling alone.

The deceased have been identified as Afin, popularly known as Abi (21), a resident of Vakkam Kayikkara Kadavu, and Sreenath, also called Rappayi (21), a native of Vakkam Champavila. Sreenath was on the motorcycle that carried three people.

Immediate Aftermath and Hospitalization

Following the severe impact, all four individuals involved sustained serious injuries. Local residents and passersby rushed to help, and the injured were quickly transported to a nearby hospital for emergency medical care.

Despite the best efforts of doctors, the injuries proved fatal for both Abi and Sreenath. They succumbed while undergoing treatment. The other two victims, who also suffered severe injuries, required advanced medical attention. They were subsequently shifted to the Government Medical College Hospital for further care.
