The deceased has been identified as Darshan Kumar, a 28-year-old man who was the son of Thakur Sah. His arrest followed a severe accident where the SUV he was driving collided with a stationary truck, resulting in significant injuries to him.
According to Excise Superintendent Amritesh Kumar, a substantial quantity of illicit liquor was recovered from the accident scene. "A total of 70 cartons of liquor were seized from the SUV at the site of the collision," he stated, highlighting the gravity of the smuggling allegations against the deceased.
Medical Treatment and Jail Admission
Following the accident, Darshan Kumar was promptly admitted to the emergency ward of Model Hospital for urgent medical treatment. After receiving necessary care and being stabilized, he was subsequently transferred to Chanawe Mandal Jail as part of standard judicial procedures for undertrial prisoners.

He was immediately sent to Model Hospital for treatment, but he died on the way to the hospital," a representative from the jail administration explained.
