In a horrific incident that has sent shockwaves through the community, residents of the Panigate area in Vadodara's walled city witnessed a man brutally stab another to death in full public view on Tuesday night. The victim, identified as Hussain Zulfikar, was allegedly murdered by his longtime friend, Vishal Kahar, aged 35, following a heated argument that escalated into violence.

In a sudden and violent outburst, Kahar reportedly pulled out a knife and stabbed Zulfikar four to five times on the chest and abdomen. Zulfikar, who worked as an AC mechanic, was rushed to SSG Hospital in critical condition, but doctors declared him dead upon arrival.

Abhishek Gupta, DCP (Zone 3), stated, "Hussain knew about Kahar's relationship with his wife and they had argued about it several times. On Tuesday night, they had another fight over the phone, which ultimately led to this tragic confrontation."

Vadodara police demonstrated remarkable efficiency by arresting Kahar within hours of the stabbing. He was subsequently produced in court, where he was remanded in police custody for two days to facilitate further investigation.
