Her husband Hameed Kunju, who was behind the wheel, sustained serious injuries along with their 30-year-old son Shafin and 17-year-old grandson Abdul Rehaman. All three injured family members were immediately rushed to a private hospital in Varkala where they are currently undergoing intensive treatment.
