According to Abhayam officials, they received a call from a good Samaritan who reported that a woman had been seen at the location for three consecutive days and appeared to be unfamiliar with the area. A counsellor from the helpline stated, "She was seeking alms from passersby and was found with her children, which raised immediate concerns about their safety and well-being."
The woman, who hails from a nearby locality, revealed to helpline officials that she had been left with nowhere to go after her husband allegedly expelled her from their home along with their children following a heated argument. This abandonment forced her into a desperate situation, resorting to begging to survive with her young ones.

Helpline counsellors attempted to mediate by speaking with the husband, but he refused to take her back, leaving the woman in a precarious position.
