Security concerns are mounting in Hosapete, Vijayanagara district, after a 35-year-old woman was discovered murdered, her throat slit, in a chilling incident. This comes just days after another woman was found murdered in the region, putting local residents on high alert.

Victim Identified as Uma, Mother of Three

The deceased has been identified as Uma, a resident of the Chapalaghatta area near Railway Station Road. According to police and family details, Uma had married a man named Raghu, also known as Ramanjaneya, a native of Andhra Pradesh, thirteen years ago. The couple had three children together.

However, due to ongoing marital issues, Uma had returned to her parents' home approximately six years ago and had been living there since. In a recent development, police reports revealed that Uma had married Khaja Hussain about four months prior to the tragic incident.

Swift Police Action Leads to Arrest

Following the gruesome discovery, the Chittawadgi police launched an immediate investigation. Based on preliminary findings, the authorities apprehended Khaja Hussain in connection with Uma's murder. The arrest was made swiftly as part of the ongoing probe.

The crime scene drew visits from senior police officials, underscoring the seriousness of the case. District Superintendent of Police Jahnavi S, Additional SP Manjunath, and DSP Dr. Manjunath Talwar all visited the location to personally carry out an inspection and oversee the initial stages of the investigation.
