The victim, identified as Kamta Prasad Suryavanshi (25), worked at a local hotel and resided in a rented house in the Civil Lines area of Bilaspur. According to police investigations, he had been in a relationship for approximately six months with Roshni Suryavanshi (22), whom he initially connected with through the popular social media platform Instagram.
Trouble began brewing several days prior to the incident when Kamta abruptly severed communication channels by blocking Roshni's calls and messages on his mobile phone. This sudden digital silence reportedly created suspicion and anger in Roshni, who began suspecting that Kamta might have started seeing another woman.
The Deadly Confrontation Unfolds
On Tuesday afternoon, Roshni arrived at Kamta's residence armed with a knife. When Kamta opened the door, she immediately demanded to see his mobile phone, likely to verify her suspicions about his communication patterns. His refusal to comply with this demand triggered a heated argument that rapidly escalated into physical violence.
"In the course of the altercation, the woman stabbed the victim in the chest," stated Bilaspur Superintendent of Police Rajnesh Singh, describing the critical moment that turned a domestic dispute into a homicide case.

Kamta's roommate, alerted by the commotion, rushed to the scene only to find him lying on the floor in a pool of blood. Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, Kamta succumbed to his injuries during transportation.
