A tragic stabbing incident in Yamunanagar's Khajuri village on Saturday resulted in the death of an 18-year-old youth and left two others with serious injuries. The deceased has been identified as Aditya, a resident of Nagal village, while the injured—Rajkumar of Khajuri and Arjun of Nagal—are currently undergoing treatment at a local hospital. Yamunanagar police have swiftly registered a case at the Jathlana police station against Rakshit, his father Pritam Singh, and other unidentified persons from Khajuri village, under charges of murder and attempted murder.

Details of the Attack

According to the complainant, Arjun, a student, the incident unfolded on Saturday evening when he was outside his home preparing to go to the gym. His cousin Aditya arrived and requested him to accompany him to Khajuri village to meet Rakshit, who had allegedly abused him earlier. Aditya informed Arjun that Rakshit had called them to the Rajput Dharamshala in Khajuri to settle the dispute.

Upon reaching Khajuri, they met their acquaintance Rajkumar, who joined them as they proceeded to the dharamshala. Arjun recounted, "When we arrived, Rakshit was standing near an open gym with five to six youths from his village and his father, Pritam Singh. On seeing us, Rakshit immediately began abusing us and launched a sudden attack on Aditya, stabbing him in the neck. He then turned on Rajkumar, inflicting a neck injury, and assaulted Aditya again on his right hand. When I intervened to save them, Rakshit attacked me on the thigh. Others present at the scene also supported him. We raised an alarm, and as people gathered, the accused fled the spot."

Police Response and Investigation

Following the incident, the victims were rushed to hospitals. Doctors at Civil Hospital in Yamunanagar declared Aditya dead, while Rajkumar was referred for advanced treatment at PGIMER in Sector 12, Chandigarh. Family members of the deceased, including his grandfather, uncle, and cousin, expressed profound grief over the loss.

Multiple police teams promptly reached the crime scene, cordoning off the area for investigation. The forensic team and CIA unit conducted a thorough inspection, collecting crucial evidence.
