BJP Campaign Highlights 12 Years of Modi Govt Achievements

Mangaluru: As the BJP-led government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi prepares to complete 12 years in office, the party has launched a nationwide outreach campaign to highlight the Centre's achievements across various sectors. The campaign will continue till June 22, with a series of programmes planned across Dakshina Kannada, district BJP president Sathish Kumpala said on Friday.

Environmental Initiatives and Plantation Drive

Addressing mediapersons, Kumpala said the party will implement the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' initiative in all 1,876 booths across the district to promote environmental conservation and increase green cover. Marking World Environment Day, BJP workers planted saplings at a school in Nalyapadavu. He said booth-level office bearers have been encouraged to plant as many saplings as possible within their respective jurisdictions.

Committees and Health Camps

To ensure effective implementation of the campaign, committees have been constituted at the district, Mahashakti Kendra, Shakti Kendra and booth levels. Special camps will also be organised across Shakti Kendras and Mahashakti Kendras to facilitate registration of beneficiaries under the Ayushman Bharat scheme.

Kumpala said the BJP Backward Classes Morcha will undertake cleanliness drives at the district, mandal and booth levels, including in scheduled caste and scheduled tribe colonies. The party's Kisan Morcha will focus on creating awareness about the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme and help register eligible farmers who have been left out. Programmes promoting organic farming will also be organised.

Felicitations and Conventions

As part of the outreach initiative, around 500 achievers from the fields of agriculture and sports will be felicitated across various assembly constituencies in the district. A convention highlighting Modi government's achievements will be held on June 13. BJP national general secretary and Karnataka in-charge Radhamohan Das Agarwal is expected to participate in the event. Kumpala said the visit will strengthen the party organisation in the district.

Blood Donation, Health Camps, and Yoga

In addition, the BJP plans to organise blood donation camps and health camps in association with various organisations. International Day of Yoga will be observed on June 21 at the booth, Shakti Kendra and district levels with public participation.

Support for Voter Revision Process

Further, Kumpala said the BJP will extend full support to the ongoing special intensive revision (SIR) process in Dakshina Kannada. He urged the district administration to take all political parties into confidence while carrying out voter mapping and ensure that booth level officers (BLOs) visit every household. The BJP has already completed the appointment of booth level agents (BLAs) across the district to facilitate the exercise, he said.
