A 27-month-old Indian-born female cheetah died at Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh on Saturday while undergoing treatment for injuries sustained earlier. The cheetah, born in India, was being treated by a team of veterinarians but succumbed to her injuries.

With this death, the total number of cheetahs at Kuno National Park now stands at 49. Of these, 32 have been born in the country, marking a significant milestone for India's cheetah reintroduction project.
