Hyderabad: The Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) bloc's next meeting will be held in the city in August. This announcement was made by AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge after the INDIA bloc meeting in New Delhi on Monday.
Second Major AICC Meeting in Hyderabad
This will be the second major meeting of the AICC in Hyderabad. In September 2023, the AICC held the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting in the city, followed by a public meeting featuring Sonia Gandhi and INDIA alliance partners at Tukkuguda.
Why Hyderabad Was Chosen
One of the reasons for selecting Hyderabad as a venue was the crucial role played by Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy in seeking support from various parties. The INDIA bloc successfully defeated the delimitation-linked women's reservation bill in Parliament, which was a significant achievement for the alliance.
The alliance has decided to hold meetings once every two months to formalize a long-term strategy. This regular schedule aims to strengthen coordination among member parties and outline a cohesive plan for future political challenges.
