Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a powerful address during the flag-hoisting ceremony at the newly constructed Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on Tuesday, declaring that centuries-old wounds are finally being healed and a long-standing national resolve has been fulfilled.

The ceremony, attended by RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, marked the completion of the temple's construction. All three leaders described the event as bringing immense satisfaction and fulfillment to millions of Ram devotees across the nation and worldwide.
"Today, the entire India and the whole world are imbued with Ram. In the hearts of every Ram devotee today, there is contentment, gratitude, and immense divine joy," PM Modi stated in his emotional address.
He emphasized the historical significance of the moment, noting that centuries of pain are finding respite and a centuries-old resolve is achieving its ultimate fulfillment through the completion of the temple.
Awakening Ram Within for Nation Building
The Prime Minister connected the temple's construction to broader themes of nation building and national identity. He criticized what he described as a colonial mindset that had persisted even after independence, which had questioned the historical existence of Lord Ram.
"The mindset of slavery said that our Constitution is inspired from outside, but India is the founder of democracy. Democracy is in our DNA," Modi asserted, challenging narratives that he felt undermined India's indigenous traditions.
Looking toward the future, the Prime Minister outlined a vision where citizens must awaken the spirit of Ram within themselves to create an India inspired by the ideals of Ram Rajya.
Economic Progress Through Ancient Ideals
PM Modi connected the spiritual achievement with India's economic trajectory, highlighting that while it took 70 years for India to become the world's 11th largest economy, in the past 11 years, it has risen to become the fifth largest.
He expressed confidence that by embracing Lord Ram's ideals as inspiration, India would soon become the world's third largest economy.
The Prime Minister concluded by emphasizing the need for visionary thinking, noting that the country existed before them and would continue after them, requiring foresight in all national endeavors.
