Significance of Pandharpur
Pandharpur holds immense religious importance for Hindus, particularly followers of the Varkari tradition. Every year, lakhs of warkaris walk from various parts of Maharashtra to offer prayers at the Vitthal-Rukmini temple. The development plan is expected to ease the logistical challenges faced by these devotees, ensuring a safer and more comfortable pilgrimage.
