The woman, a resident of Salt Lake, was walking towards Park Circus to book a bike taxi when a motorcycle approached her from behind. Suddenly, the pillion rider snatched her 7-gram gold chain and fled the scene. The victim was left shocked and immediately reported the matter to the police.
Police Action
Police have registered a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and are currently scanning CCTV footage from the area to identify the culprits. No arrests have been made yet, and investigations are ongoing.
