A woman cab driver was allegedly stopped and assaulted in broad daylight on the Delhi-Jaipur Expressway near Ambience Mall, prompting the DLF Phase-3 police station to register a case and initiate an investigation.
Incident Details
The complainant, Rajni, a resident of Badarpur in Delhi, works as a cab driver in the Delhi-NCR region. According to her complaint, the incident occurred on Tuesday evening while she was traveling from Delhi towards Gurgaon. An unidentified motorcyclist suddenly brought his bike in front of her cab near Ambience Mall, forcing her to apply emergency brakes and stop the vehicle.
Assault and Escape
Rajni alleged that soon after she stopped the cab, the accused began misbehaving with her. When she objected, the man assaulted her and later fled the spot. The victim alerted the police immediately after the incident, leading to the initiation of an investigation.
Police Investigation
Police said CCTV footage from cameras installed near the spot is being examined to identify the motorcycle registration number and trace the accused. A police officer at DLF Phase-3 police station stated that a probe is underway and further action will be taken based on evidence collected during the investigation.
Legal Action
A case has been registered under sections 115 and 126 of the BNS (Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita). The police are working diligently to apprehend the culprit and ensure justice for the victim.
