KRISHNAGIRI: As many as 14 people, including four army men returning to their hometowns on leave, suffered injuries when a private omnibus they were travelling on fell into a roadside pit near Koppachandram in Hosur in the early hours of Wednesday.
Accident Details
Three army men suffered leg fractures in the accident that happened after the bus from Bengaluru to Tenkasi had suffered a brake failure. According to the Hudco police, driver K Suresh, 34, of Bengaluru lost control of the vehicle, and the bus crashed into a roadside barrier before falling into the pit. More than 20 passengers were on board.
Medical Response
The injured were admitted to Hosur government hospital. "Six others with minor injuries were shifted to a private hospital," said a police officer.
