Akhilesh Yadav Slams BJP in Kanpur, Alleges Corruption and Weak Foreign Policy
Akhilesh Yadav Criticizes BJP in Kanpur Visit

Akhilesh Yadav Launches Scathing Attack on BJP During Kanpur Tour

During his extensive tour of Kanpur and Kanpur Dehat on Wednesday, Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav delivered a blistering critique of the ruling BJP government. He asserted that India's foreign policy has significantly weakened under their administration, and the ambitious vision of the nation becoming a Vishwaguru, or global leader, has now faded into obscurity.

Allegations of Corruption and Scandals

In a sharp and pointed dig at the BJP, Akhilesh Yadav remarked, "Earlier there were 'Codeine Bhais' and now 'Kidney Bhais' have surfaced. Under BJP's rule, kidneys are being extracted here. If a thorough investigation is conducted, much more will be exposed. It looks like a new OTT series could be made on the kidney scandal. Kanpur has been turned into Badnaampur." He further accused the government of rampant corruption, citing examples such as LPG cylinders being short in weight, which he claimed exploits common citizens.

Akhilesh also questioned the BJP's governance style, asking rhetorically, "Is BJP a party or a circus? The Chief Minister himself mocks his own MP." Taking another swipe, he commented on political posters, saying, "Who put up the posters of the film Dhurandhar and where—only BJP people can answer. Many of their films flop right after release," implying failures in their political strategies.

Highlighting Development Works and Electoral Concerns

During his visit, Akhilesh Yadav emphasized the visible development projects credited to the Samajwadi Party. "When we reached Kanpur, we saw the metro pillars—these are the gift of the Samajwadi Party. Moving towards Panki, the tall chimneys stand as another SP contribution. And if you go further towards Bhognipur or Ghatampur, you will see the imprint of SP's work there too," he stated, showcasing his party's legacy in infrastructure and industrial growth.

He also addressed electoral issues, alleging voter suppression tactics by the BJP. "PDA prahris have been appointed to monitor cases of voter list deletions. In Kanpur, our prahari exposed one such incident. Yet, no officer faced any action. BJP workers have orchestrated the deletion of Muslim votes, but the Election Committee has failed to act against even a single official," Akhilesh claimed, highlighting concerns over democratic integrity.

Call for Support and Vision for the Future

Akhilesh Yadav extended his support to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, urging voters, "I urge the people of Bengal to give Mamata Didi a resounding victory. Every single vote will be a vote to safeguard democracy. Across Bengal, it is Didi who stands tall. Her win will mark an end to injustice, and that is why the BJP is fearful, leaning on the Election Commission for support."

He concluded by expressing optimism for change, stating, "The dark days of inflation, unemployment, humiliation, and divisive hatred are coming to an end. People now want to bring back a Samajwadi Party government that will steer the state onto the path of development." This message reinforced his party's commitment to addressing economic and social challenges while promoting unity and progress.
