BJP state president BY Vijayendra on Thursday alleged that the Congress government's administrative machinery in Karnataka has come to a complete standstill and claimed that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's resignation is imminent.
Vijayendra Criticizes Congress Government
Speaking to reporters in Hosapete (Vijayanagara), Vijayendra expressed dissatisfaction over the prevailing political situation in the state and accused the Congress government of failing on multiple fronts. He alleged that Karnataka has suffered both economically and administratively over the past year due to internal conflicts within the party. Ministers and MLAs, he said, are spending time in Bengaluru and Delhi instead of addressing public issues.
Farmers Facing Fertilizer Shortage
Claiming that farmers in rural areas are struggling due to a fertiliser shortage, Vijayendra said there is no one to hear their grievances. “This government has become a curse for the state,” he charged.
Question on Change of CM
Referring to a possible change of the Chief Minister, Vijayendra questioned whether the Congress high command still exists and alleged that whoever becomes the next CM will not be able to improve the system. “The government is functioning only as an ATM for the high command,” he alleged.
BJP's Stance
Vijayendra clarified that the BJP is not interested in interfering in the Congress party's internal affairs, noting that the people have given the Congress 136 seats for a stable government. However, he said the BJP will continue its fight against the hardships faced by the public due to the ruling party's internal conflicts.
MLA Krishnanayak and party leaders Chennabasavanagouda Patil and Ayyali Thimmappa were present during the press conference.
