In response to recent heavy rainfall impacting agricultural areas in Punjab, the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) Punjab unit has taken proactive steps by deputing its senior leaders to conduct on-ground assessments. Formation of Five Assessment Teams

According to a list released by state general secretary Anil Sarin, the party has constituted five dedicated teams to cover 10 affected districts across the state. This structured approach allows for comprehensive coverage and efficient data gathering from various regions.

Team Assignments and District Coverage

Team for Fazilka and Muktsar: This team includes prominent figures such as Manpreet Singh Badal, Dyal Singh Sodhi, Sujeet Jyani, Ashwani Sekhri, Vandana Sangwan, and Lakhbir Singh. Their focus will be on assessing the agricultural and infrastructural impact in these districts.

Team for Ferozepur and Bathinda: Comprising Rana Gurmeet Singh Sodhi, Jagmeet Singh Brar, Sushil Rinku, Harminder Jassi, Jagdeep Singh Nakai, Sarabhjit Singh Makkar, and Darshan Singh Nenewal, this group will evaluate damage and engage with local farming communities.

Team for Barnala and Sangrur: Members include Som Parkash, S Kewal Singh Dhillon, Maharani Parneet Kaur, Harbans Lal, S Mangat Rai Bansal, Ranjit Singh Gill, and Jagdeep Singh Cheema. They are tasked with inspecting affected areas and gathering insights from residents.

Team for Amritsar and Pathankot: This team features Vijay Sampla, Shwet Malik, Tikshan Sood, Dinesh Singh Babbu, Fateh Jang Singh Bajwa, Manjit Singh Manna, and Balwinder Singh Laddi. Their visit aims to document the situation and relay farmer grievances.

Team for Hoshiarpur and Kapurthala: Consisting of Manoranjan Kalia, Avinash Khanna, Jangi Lal Mahajan, Sheetal Angural, KD Bhandari, and Jagbir Singh Brar, this group will assess the impact and compile feedback for further action.
