Nabagram is one of the 294 Assembly constituencies in West Bengal, located in the Murshidabad district and forming part of the Jangipur Lok Sabha seat. Reserved for Scheduled Caste candidates, the constituency has seen a mix of continuity and shifting party affiliations in recent elections.

For the 2026 Assembly election, Nabagram had a total of 2,43,025 registered voters on the electoral rolls. Of these, 1,24,325 were male, 1,18,697 were female, and three belonged to the third gender.

In the 2021 Assembly elections, Nabagram had 251,378 registered electors, with 208,516 casting valid votes. The seat was won by Trinamool Congress candidate Kanai Chandra Mondal, who secured 100,455 votes. BJP candidate Mohan Halder finished second with 64,922 votes, trailing by a margin of 35,533 votes.

In the 2016 Assembly elections, the constituency had an electorate of 222,785, with 181,705 valid votes recorded, reflecting a turnout of 81.56 percent. Communist Party of India (Marxist) candidate Kanai Chandra Mondal won the seat with 99,545 votes. TMC candidate Dilip Saha came second with 61,102 votes, losing by a margin of 38,443 votes.
