CJP Founder Vows Return If Pradhan Not Sacked

Abhijeet Dipke, the founder of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), has vowed to return to India next week if Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan is not removed from his post. Dipke flew down from Boston to participate in the ongoing ‘GenZ’ protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi, where he was joined by prominent activist Sonam Wangchuk and others.

Protest Intensifies at Jantar Mantar

The protest, which has drawn large crowds, is demanding the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged policy failures. Dipke, addressing the gathering, stated that he would return to the country next week if the minister is not sacked by then. The demonstration has been marked by strong youth participation, with many referring to it as the largest crowd at Jantar Mantar in recent times.

Social Media Campaign Gains Momentum

The protest has also gained traction on social media, with hashtags like #Cockroachjantaparty and #Cjp trending. A post on X (formerly Twitter) by the handle @CJPAssam_ showed the massive turnout, captioning: “Biggest crowd at jantar mantar protest Dharmendra Pradhan must resign #Cockroachjantaparty #cjp_पार्टी #Jantarmantar #Cjp”.

Background of the Agitation

The GenZ protest, primarily led by students and young activists, has been ongoing for several days. The demonstrators accuse Pradhan of failing to address key issues in the education sector, including delays in exam results and alleged mismanagement. Dipke’s involvement has added a new dimension to the protest, as he represents a party known for its unconventional political stance.

Sonam Wangchuk, a well-known environmental and education activist, expressed solidarity with the protesters. He emphasized the need for systemic changes in the education system and called for accountability from the minister.

What’s Next?

Dipke has given a one-week ultimatum to the government. If Pradhan remains in office, he has promised to return from Boston to lead further agitations. The protest organizers are planning to escalate their movement if their demands are not met.

The development comes amid rising political tension, with opposition parties also demanding Pradhan’s resignation. The government, however, has not yet responded to the allegations.
