NEW DELHI: Wazed Ali Choudhury of the Indian National Congress emerged victorious in the Birsing Jarua assembly seat in Assam's Dhubri district, defeating Ali Akbar Miah of the All India United Democratic Front by a substantial margin of 35,885 votes.
