Idukki: In the aftermath of the Left Democratic Front's (LDF) electoral defeat, senior Communist Party of India (Marxist) leader M. M. Mani stated that voters made poor choices, leading to the current situation. He also took aim at the United Democratic Front (UDF) for prematurely discussing its chief ministerial candidate even before the election results were officially declared.

Mani alleged that the UDF is now grappling with internal strife following its resounding victory in the assembly elections. He remarked that the UDF's focus on leadership issues prior to the results reflected a lack of discipline and respect for the electoral process.
