Deputy CM meets JAC leaders, assures action on PRC, DA

Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka held a meeting with the Joint Action Committee (JAC) leaders of government employees at Praja Bhavan on Friday. During the meeting, the JAC leaders presented several pending demands, including the Pay Revision Commission (PRC), five Dearness Allowances (DA), pending bills amounting to over Rs 14,000 crore, and health cards.

Government's Commitment to Employee Welfare

Addressing the concerns, Bhatti stated that the state government has been releasing salaries to employees on the first of every month. He also highlighted that the release of pending bills has increased from Rs 700 crore to Rs 1,000 crore per month, reflecting the government's efforts to clear dues.

Key Demands Discussed

The JAC leaders primarily raised issues related to pay revision, DA, and health cards. In response, the Deputy Chief Minister assured that all these matters would be comprehensively discussed in the cabinet sub-committee. He further stated that a decision would be conveyed to the employees soon.

Bhatti clarified that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy is adopting a positive approach towards resolving employees' issues. He assured the JAC leaders that the demands raised would be brought to the Chief Minister's notice, and a positive decision would be taken shortly.

The meeting comes amid growing demands from government employees for the implementation of the PRC, which has been pending for several years. The employees have also been seeking the release of five DAs that have been withheld, along with the clearance of a massive backlog of bills. The health card issue pertains to the provision of medical benefits for employees and their families.
