The crime branch of Vadodara police arrested four individuals on Friday for their alleged involvement in a robbery near Squirrel Circle. According to police reports, the suspects followed Krunal Gandhi on Wednesday night and intercepted his motorcycle in the vicinity of Squirrel Circle. They threatened him and fled with his mobile phone.
Following the incident, the crime branch launched an investigation based on CCTV footage. A subsequent tip-off led the team to the suspects, who were traced and detained under the Lalbaug bridge. During questioning, the accused failed to provide satisfactory explanations regarding the motorcycle and mobile phones found in their possession. Upon further interrogation, they confessed to stealing the vehicle and robbing Gandhi.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Akshay Mali, Guru Marwadi, Pragnesh Mali, and Manish Ninama. Police disclosed that Mali has seven prior offenses, including theft, registered against him. Marwadi is also accused in two separate theft cases. The authorities are continuing their investigation to determine if the group is involved in other similar crimes in the area.
