In a remarkable display of academic excellence, female candidates have clinched the top administrative positions in the latest Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) examination results. The results for the Joint Competitive Examination (JCE) were officially declared on Tuesday, revealing a significant achievement for women in the state's civil services.
Top Performers Lead the Way
Megha Singh Kanwar, a resident of Rajgarh in Sirmaur district, achieved the prestigious first rank in the Himachal Pradesh Administrative Services (HPAS) examination. Following closely, Anchal Kumari secured the second overall rank and has been selected for the Himachal Pradesh Police Service (HPPS). Their success highlights a growing trend of women leading competitive examinations in the region.
Breakdown of Selections and Services
According to the official HPPSC notification, a total of 30 candidates successfully cleared the rigorous selection process, which comprised a written examination followed by a personal interview. The final merit list was prepared after the completion of all stages.
The service-wise allocation for the successful candidates is as follows:
- One candidate selected for the Himachal Pradesh Administrative Service (HPAS).
- Two candidates selected for the Himachal Pradesh Police Service (HPPS).
- Eight candidates recommended for the post of Block Development Officer.
- Nine candidates recommended for the post of Revenue Officer.
- Two candidates for the position of District Controller in the Food and Supplies Department.
- Eight candidates for the role of Assistant Commissioner in the State Taxes and Excise Department.

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu extended his heartfelt congratulations to all the successful candidates. In his message, he stated that Megha Singh Kanwar's accomplishment has made the entire state proud.
