Shimla: Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, during his one-day visit to the Kasumpti assembly constituency in Shimla district, inaugurated and laid foundation stones for 15 development projects worth Rs 51.1 crore at Dharech and Cheog.
Key Road Projects Announced
Sukhu laid the foundation for several key road projects, including the Fagu-Dharech road (Rs 15.23 crore), Dharech-Chatog via Manda (Rs 7.85 crore), and Darn-Jubbar road (Rs 4.81 crore). Other roads include Kheti Jubbar-Khadrarav, Fagu-Saryu, Bangapani-Chadail, Cheog-Jathai, Dhaleu-Janu Nala, Nhog-Kaneshi, Dhaleu-Dhar, and Kyanala-Sarog. Projects such as the Cheog Bazaar-Mehna village road (Rs 90 lakh) and Talai-Dehna-Karyal village road (Rs 1 crore) were also announced.
Community Infrastructure and Inaugurations
A community centre and panchayat ghar worth Rs 1.14 crore will be constructed, the CM said. Sukhu also inaugurated the Cheog Bypass Road, built at a cost of Rs 2.85 crore, aimed at improving connectivity and easing traffic in the region.
