A tragic incident unfolded in Senpashchim Para village on Sunday evening when a 50-year-old man died by suicide on his daughter's birthday following a domestic dispute. The deceased, identified as Budhi Prakash, was a supervisor at a leather factory in Jajmau.

According to police reports, Prakash was found hanging when his family members returned home. A forensic team was called to the spot, and the body was taken into custody and sent for post-mortem examination. The family is in deep grief, especially as the incident occurred on the birthday of his 13-year-old daughter.
Background of Dispute
Prakash's wife, Rekha, informed the police that her husband was addicted to alcohol and frequently assaulted her. She stated that three days prior to the incident, after a heated argument, Prakash forced her out of the house. Since then, she had been staying at her maternal home in Yashoda Nagar.
The police have registered a case and are investigating the matter further. The exact reason behind the suicide is yet to be ascertained, but the domestic discord appears to be a major factor.
