A man had a narrow escape after his car fell into a deep drain near Baulian in Pathankot. The incident occurred while he was reversing the vehicle in an area that was reportedly dark, increasing the risk.
Rescue Operation
According to reports, local residents rushed to the spot and, after considerable effort, managed to rescue the driver from the submerged car. The driver, identified as 36-year-old Rajinder, stated that he escaped unharmed. However, his newly purchased car suffered significant damage.
Vehicle Recovery
The vehicle was later pulled out of the drain with the help of a crane after nearly two hours. Rajinder mentioned that he had bought the car just 10 days ago. The incident highlights the dangers of driving in poorly lit areas and the importance of community assistance in emergencies.
