In a shocking incident in Greater Noida, a man allegedly killed his 16-year-old son and staged the crime scene to implicate his relatives in a property dispute. The accused, identified as Rajesh Sharma, a resident of Bisrakh, was arrested by the police after a detailed investigation revealed the truth.
The Crime and Initial Investigation
On the night of the incident, Rajesh Sharma reported to the police that his son, Ravi, was missing. Later, the body was found in a nearby field with injuries suggesting a violent attack. Sharma initially claimed that his relatives, with whom he had a long-standing property feud, had kidnapped and murdered the boy. However, the police grew suspicious due to inconsistencies in his statements.
Police Probe Uncovers the Truth
During interrogation, Sharma broke down and confessed to the crime. He admitted that he killed his son to frame his relatives and gain an upper hand in the property dispute. The police recovered the murder weapon, a knife, from his house. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Greater Noida) Saad Miya Khan stated, "The accused wanted to settle scores with his relatives and used his own son as a pawn. He will be produced in court and strict action will be taken."

The incident has left the local community in shock. Neighbors described Sharma as a seemingly normal person who had frequent arguments with his relatives over land. "We never imagined he could go to such extremes. It is heart-wrenching that a father could kill his own child," said a neighbor. The boy's mother, who was not present at the time of the murder, has been inconsolable.

Sharma has been booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, including murder and destruction of evidence. He has been remanded to judicial custody.
