Naidu Launches Scathing Attack on Jagan, Reaffirms Amaravati as Andhra Pradesh's Capital
In a fiery public address at Surepalli village in the Vemuru constituency of Bapatla district, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu launched a sharp critique against opposition leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Naidu declared that any individual unwilling to recognize Amaravati as the capital city has no legitimate right to govern Andhra Pradesh. He accused Jagan of engaging in malicious propaganda aimed at destabilizing the state, which he described as already suffering from the scars of bifurcation and previous misrule.
Defending Amaravati and Dismissing Financial Claims
Naidu strongly defended the infrastructure development in Amaravati, dismissing allegations of a ₹2 lakh crore financial burden as entirely false. He reiterated that the capital project is self-financing and sustainable. The chief minister alleged that Jagan proposed the Mavigun alternative out of sheer resentment toward Amaravati's progress, which has been backed by parliamentary support. Naidu warned that forces exhibiting rowdyism and what he termed "psycho behavior" must be firmly rejected to prevent further disruption in the state.
Land Reforms and Technological Innovations Announced
During the event, which marked the launch of the 'Mee Bhoomi–Mee Hakku' initiative, Naidu announced ambitious land reform measures. The government is determined to complete the Resurvey 2.0 process by March 2027 and distribute 1.12 crore Pattadar Passbooks. These documents will feature advanced security technologies, including blockchain, QR codes, and digital locking systems, to ensure tamper-proof land ownership. Naidu emphasized, "These documents cannot be tampered with. Ownership rights are fully protected, and no one can take over your property unless the owner unlocks it through e-KYC and Aadhaar authentication."
Policy Decisions to Benefit Millions of Families
Naidu also unveiled key policy decisions aimed at overhauling the revenue system. These include:
- Removal of 1.37 lakh acres of service inam lands from the prohibited 22A list, with an additional 1 lakh acres slated for release soon.
- Granting registration rights to beneficiaries who received house-site pattas before 2016 under government housing schemes, enabling sale and gift transactions. This move is expected to benefit nearly 75 lakh poor families.
- Providing ownership rights for 9.25 lakh acres of eligible freehold lands.
Naidu stated, "We are cleansing the revenue system to provide trust in people's lives and security for their assets." The event was attended by Housing Minister Parthasarathi, Revenue Minister Anagani Satyaprasad, former minister Nakka Anand Babu, district collector Vinod Kumar, and other officials.
