A pickup van ferrying workers to a wedding catering assignment overturned on the Upari-Donala road in Saoli taluka of Chandrapur district on Wednesday morning, leaving 30 people injured. The incident occurred around 8:30 am when the driver reportedly lost control on a damaged stretch of road between Upari and Donala.

Details of the Accident

The vehicle was traveling from Donala to Antargaon with 30 workers, including 27 women and three men. As the van navigated a damaged section of the road, the driver lost control, causing the vehicle to overturn. All injured workers were immediately rushed to the General Hospital in Gadchiroli for medical treatment.

Critical Injuries Reported

According to authorities, eight of the injured are in critical condition and are undergoing intensive medical care. The hospital has mobilized resources to treat the victims, with doctors and staff working round the clock to stabilize the critically injured patients.
