Karnataka minister Satish Jarkiholi on Friday attributed the reduced winning margin in the Davangere South bypolls to dissidence among local leaders. Addressing media persons, he highlighted that the Ahinda (backward classes, minorities) formula played a crucial role in securing success in the Bagalkot bypolls.
Davangere South Bypolls: Dissidence Factor
Jarkiholi stated that internal disagreements within the party ranks in Davangere South led to a narrower victory margin than expected. He emphasized that such dissidence must be addressed to ensure stronger electoral performances in future.
Bagalkot Success Story
In contrast, the Bagalkot bypolls witnessed a decisive win, which Jarkiholi credited to the effective implementation of the Ahinda formula. This strategy focuses on mobilizing support from backward classes and minorities, proving to be a game-changer in the constituency.
The minister's remarks come amid ongoing political developments in Karnataka, where bypoll results are being analyzed for strategic lessons. Jarkiholi urged party workers to remain united and work towards consolidating the Ahinda vote bank across the state.
