In a significant push for infrastructure and welfare in the Vindhya region, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav declared that the people's steadfast trust is the cornerstone for the state's progress. He made the statement while spearheading a massive development drive in Sidhi district, laying the foundation and inaugurating a total of 209 projects valued at a staggering ₹201 crore.
Major Infrastructure and Administrative Boost
The Chief Minister announced a series of transformative projects aimed at improving connectivity, education, and governance in the district. A key highlight is the construction of a 500-metre-long bridge over the Gopad river, which will significantly ease travel and trade. Additionally, a causeway will be built over the Mahan river to enhance local connectivity.
To bolster road infrastructure, a 64.54-km two-lane road will be constructed from Bahri to Churhat. On the administrative front, a full-time additional collector court will be established in Deosar to streamline judicial processes and bring governance closer to the people.
Focus on Education and Economic Growth
Emphasising human resource development, Dr. Yadav announced the opening of a new college in Bahri. Furthermore, Science and Commerce streams will be introduced in existing colleges at Singhawal and Deosar, expanding higher education opportunities for students in remote areas.
In a major economic push, the CM stated that all types of industries will be encouraged and established in Sidhi, aiming to generate employment and spur economic activity in the region.
Global Recognition for Local Heritage and a Statewide Campaign
In a moment of pride for local culture, the Chief Minister pledged that Sidhi's unique 'Panja Dari' will be promoted for global recognition, putting this local tradition on the world map.
Alongside these district-specific announcements, Dr. Yadav revealed that a statewide 'Sankalp Se Samadhan Maha Abhiyan–1' will be conducted from January 12 to March 31. This campaign is expected to focus on resolving public grievances and accelerating development works across Madhya Pradesh.
The event, where the CM performed the Bhoomi Poojan rituals, marks one of the largest single-day development initiatives for the Sidhi district, promising a new chapter in its growth trajectory through improved infrastructure, education, and economic prospects.
