Stalin Confident of DMK Victory, Hard Work to Show on May 4

Chennai: Chief Minister M K Stalin declared on Friday that the diligent efforts of DMK cadres will become evident to everyone on May 4, the day of vote counting. Speaking at the May Day celebrations held at May Day Park in Chintadripet, Stalin asserted that the DMK will emerge victorious in the Assembly election.

Stalin expressed unwavering confidence in the party's success. "There is not even an iota of doubt about that. I am not saying this based on the exit poll findings," he stated, emphasizing that his assurance stems from the extensive poll work carried out by the party cadres.

Historical Significance of May Day Park

Reflecting on the park's history, Stalin noted that former Chief Minister M Karunanidhi had a personal connection with the location. "This memorial park and the May Day monument were created by Kalaignar. It reveals his respect for workers and their rights," he remarked. The DMK chief also held a meeting with party candidates on the same day.

Reactions from Other Leaders

TNCC president K Selvaperunthagai also paid tribute at the May Day monument by placing a wreath. Addressing reporters, he dismissed the exit poll reports. "These are not exit polls, but ideas forced into the minds of the public. I have been saying from the beginning that DMK alliance will form the government by winning more than 200 seats," Selvaperunthagai said.

MDMK general secretary Vaiko, along with other leaders including CPI former state secretary R Mutharasan and CPM former state secretary G Ramakrishnan, also hoisted May Day flags at their respective party offices.
