Local resident Ashit Gandhi provided context to the protest, stating that MLA Purnesh Modi had previously informed the community about a planned visit to the Gorat Hanuman Temple. "We permitted only a temple visit," Gandhi explained. "However, later in the evening, they initiated political campaigning. We protested against this, and during our demonstration, one of our women was attacked by a worker."
