The Chandigarh Traffic Police has issued a detailed advisory for the general public regarding special traffic regulations that will be enforced on Wednesday, December 24, 2025. The restrictions are in place in view of Union Home Minister Amit Shah's scheduled visit to the city.

According to the official advisory, traffic movement will be regulated on several major arterial corridors during two specific time slots. The restrictions will be active from 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm and again from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm.
The affected stretches include some of the city's busiest roads:
- Dakshin Marg from Airport Light Point to Tribune Chowk.
- Purv Marg from Tribune Chowk to Transport Light Point.
- Madhya Marg from Tribune Chowk to Transport Light Point.
- Madhya Marg from Transport Light Point to Fun Republic Light Point towards Panchkula.

During the notified hours, commuters can expect diversions, a regulated flow of traffic, or brief stoppages depending on real-time ground conditions and security protocols.
