DMK spokesperson T K S Elangovan criticized Congress for its decision to support TVK. "Right from the beginning, there were talks that some people wanted to support Vijay and join his party. Congress is doing it in every state, and ultimately, they are losing in all of them. They are wiped off in Delhi and West Bengal. They have no chance in Maharashtra. They are doing something which will close their party," Elangovan said.

Congress MP Manickam Tagore stated that the voters of Tamil Nadu have made a clear decision. "As far as we are concerned, our people—the voters of Tamil Nadu—have made a clear decision. CPI MP P Sandosh alleged that the West Bengal election was manipulated by the Election Commission. "West Bengal election was manipulated by the Election Commission. EC was acting as a coalition partner of the BJP. This is a serious threat to democracy. This is a manipulated victory. BJP is purchasing victory in every state," Sandosh said.
